Alison Begley - Racing Manager
Alison Begley joined the team at the beginning of 2004. Having grown up in the racing and equestrian world, she competed on ponies at the highest level as a child. During her teenage years she followed her love of racing, riding out and riding under rules for former trainer Stan Mellor. She then pursued a career in show jumping, working and riding for top show jumping trainer Ted Edgar. Following a riding accident in 1999, Alison was forced to retire from the saddle. Prior to joining Highclere, Alison worked for Attheraces as a producer's assistant for two years. Alison liaises with Highclere's trainers and owners and co-ordinates arrangements for owners' stable visits and on racedays.
