A 2011 Goffs Orby Yearling sale purchase by Elusive City (Elusive Quality) who stands at the Haras d’Etreham in Normandy. He won the Group 1 Prix Morny at Deauville as a two-year-old and is from a fast family.
This colt is an April foal and the fourth produce of his dam Lucky Norwegian (by Almutawakel) who was a winner at three in Norway. He shares his grand-dam Echoes (Niniski) with two top-class performers in Elusive Wave (Elusive Quality) and Langs Lash (Noverre). Echoes herself was a talented racemare winning the Group 3 Prix Corrida and was multiple Group and Listed placed in France. Her daughter Multicolour (Rainbow Quest) is the dam of Elusive Wave who won the 2009 French 1,000 Guineas. She was a six-time winner including taking three Group 3 races. Elusive Wave was sold at the 2010 Tattersalls December Mares sale for 800,000gns.

This colt has strengthened up considerably over the winter. He is an athletic, good moving individual and should be precocious enough to run in June or July. He has a great temperament and moves beautifully.
