A British-bred son of Derby winner and Champion three-year-old Motivator (Montjeu), Commitment was bought at the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 1. His dam Courting (Pursuit of Love) won six races including two of Listed class. She has bred six winners including Fury (Invincible Spirit) who won a valuable sales race before finishing fifth in the 2011 2,000 Guineas to Frankel and was subsequently second in the Listed Heron Stakes at Sandown. Courting is an own sister to Group 3 Horris Hill Stakes winner Cupid’s Glory.
