A 2009 Tattersalls October Yearlings Book 1 purchase, Firebeam is by the now deceased Whitsbury Manor Stud resident Cadeaux Genereux (Young Generation). His dam Firebelly (Nicolotte) won three races including the Listed Premio Gino Mantovani in Rome. She is a half-sister to L’Passionata (Pursuit of Love) who won six races in South Africa including two Listed events. His third dam As You Desire Me (Kalamoun) was a smart turf performer and the dam of nine winners including Intimate Guest (Be My Guest) who won the Group 3 May Hill Stakes. She is the Grand dam of Donativum who on the 2008 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf.

Firebeam put up a fine effort to just get beaten on the line at Haydock on his first run of the season. He certainly looks to have improved from last year and will be running in top class company this season.
