A Tattersalls October Sale Book 1 purcase, he is by Darley stallion Manduro (Monsun) who was Champion older horse in Europe and was described by Andre Fabre as the best horse he ever trained. He is out of Gaze (Galileo) who is a half-sister to multiple Group 1 winner Fame and Glory (Montjeu) who won five Group 1 races including the Irish Derby and 2011 Ascot Gold Cup and Guaranda (Acatenango) who is the dam of Group 3 winner Gravitation (Galileo). A predominantly German pedigree that has 19 black-type horses over three generations, he comes from a successful line bred by Gestut Auenquelle in Germany.
