Bought at the 2010 Goffs Yearling sale, this Irish-bred son of exceptional sire Montjeu (Sadler’s Wells) is out of the Woodman mare Al Saqiya. His second dam Augustasprings’ (Nijinsky) most notable performer has been Buffythecenterfold (Capote) who raced in the US and was a Grade 2 winner and multiple grade placed. His third dam Stellarette (Tentam) proved the forbearer of a talented and famous bloodline through her daughter Graphite (Mr Prospector) who is the grandam of Group 2 winner Rajsaman (Linamix) and dual listed winner Rosawa (Linamix) who is the dam of Group 1 winner Rosanara (Sinndar), and also the third dam of Whobegotyou (Street Cry) who was the champion three-year-old colt in Australia (2008-09) and continues to feature in top weight-for-age races.

Homeric is returning to Highclere Stud very shortly and will have a break from training for a month or two to allow him to mature. He is a really lovely, imposing individual, but he does need to be given more time before kicking off his three year old campaign.
