This a fine looking, scopey colt by Selkirk spent most of last season growing and changing and was too immature to make his debut as a two year old. However he has developed into an impressive colt who despite not running last season, showed plenty of ability in his work at home.
Sir Michael likes this horse a lot but believes that it is essential that we give him all the necessary time before bringing him back into full exercise. With this in mind I suspect that we are unlikely to see him on the racecourse until well into the Summer which is frustrating but hopefully he will be well worth waiting for. He returned to Sir Michael Stoute’s Beech Hurst yard at the beginning of June and immediately resumed cantering.
By early August Conduct progressed to half speed work and is hopefully only two or three weeks away from making his debut. Watching him canter, he really is a beautiful mover and the most important thing is to get him onto the track soon. Sir Michael hopes that he will have two or three runs before the end of the season.
CONDUCT HAS BEEN DECLARED TO RUN AT SANDOWN ON SATURDAY 11TH SEPTEMBER OVER 1M1F AT 5.05PM.. HE HAS BEEN DRAWN FOUR OF THE SIXTEEN RUNNERS AND WILL BE RIDDEN BY SEB SANDERS.
