Herculean at Highclere Stud in October 2008
On Warren Hill in March 2010
This is a very good looking son of Sakhee who was always bred to be a three year old. He developed well over the Summer months but was not strong enough to make his debut last season. William Haggas believes that Herculean will be worth waiting for as despite being weak, he has always cantered up Warren Hill in good style.
Herculean put up another really impressive and gutsy performance at Ffos Las on 27th August to win 2¾ lengths from Resentful Angel. He looked marvellous in the paddock beforehand and went to post in a very professional manner, taking everything in his stride. He broke quite slowing but Shane Kelly soon had him settled in behind. Coming into the home straight, Shane gave him a couple of reminders but he stayed on gamely and eventually won going away.
