A Tattersalls October Yearling sale Book 1 purchase by Darley stallion Shamardal (Giant’s Causeway) who was a European Champion at two and an outstanding miler at three winning the French 2,000 Guineas and St James’s Palace Stakes while having enough stamina to just get home to win the French Derby over 10 furlongs. A Sire of Group 1 winners who is from the immediate family of Street Cry. This Irish-bred grey colt is out of Princess Serena (Unbridled’s Song) who is a half-sister to Grade 2 winner and Grade 1 placed Double Partner (Rock Hard Ten). He comes from the family of Serena’s Song who was champion three-year-old filly in the US winning 18 races from two to four-years-old and became the dam of Sophisisticat who won the Group 1 Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot and was multiple Group 1 placed.
