A relatively late foal being born at the end of April, Teacher is by Coolmore sire Danehill Dancer (Danehill) whose notable offspring include Group 1 winners Ave, Lillie Langtry, Memory, Mastercraftsman and Where or When. Teacher’s dam Lac Dessert (Lac Ouimet) won six races in England and the US, including the Listed New York Oaks. His grand dam Ocean’s Answer (Northern Answer) was the dam of 17 foals including Soundings (Mr Prospector) who was the dam of champion two-year-old filly of 2006 in Europe Pas de Response (Danzig) and Green Tune (Green Dancer) who was a successful racehorse and sire in France.
