Garcia heads the line up on a busy Saturday

14th July, 2017

After 300 days off the track Garcia returns tomorrow in The 58th John Smith's Cup Handicap at York. He was last seen finishing fourth at Ayr in September, a day when he looked to be crying out for this step up in trip to a mile and a quarter. He is the winner of three of his six starts, including a valuable handicap at Haydock last May and Richard Fahey feels he has got plenty of work into him ahead of his return.

Elsewhere on Saturday we have Colorado Dream having his third start at Ascot, Opposition running at Newmarket on the July Cup card and Strategic in the first at Salisbury. The Royal Ascot Racing Club also have two runners with Comprise bidding to translate his all weather form onto the turf at Chester and Prerogative hoping to finally break his maiden at Salisbury on his first outing over a mile and a half.
