Headway wins easily at Chester and looks Royal Ascot bound

28th May, 2017

Headway looked the real deal when winning The British Stallion Studs EBF Maiden Stakes by three lengths at Chester on Saturday. Trained by William Haggas, this son of first season sire Havana Gold, behaved beautifully on a busy day at Chester and stormed clear in the straight to win the race by three lengths with plenty in hand. He was second in a Newbury maiden on his first start and has improved to take this nice prize. Being owned by the Royal Ascot Racing Club a tilt at the Royal Meeting looks on the cards and this attractive colt certainly looks to have the right credentials following this impressive victory.
