Legend From Cheltenham

9th March, 2020

We couldn’t resist popping into Cheltenham two weeks ago to see what was being offered at the Tattersalls February sale – one which always throws up a handful of superstars. We were met by renowned bloodstock agent Tom Malone and together looked at several young horses – there was one which immediately made it into our notebooks and that was this very smart looking four year-old son of Milan, called Orbys Legend.

We were delighted to secure him for £80,000 which represents great value for a horse who is not only a cracking physical but has also shown all the attributes on the track of a very exciting horse for the future. Please click here to watch a replay of his debut performance in a four year-old maiden at Knockmullen House in Ireland at the beginning of February. It was a highly impressive effort - boasting a nice mix of speed and stamina and as you will see in the film, he’s a real natural over fences.

His sire, Milan (Coolmore), has long been considered one of the top National Hunt sires in England and Ireland, producing countless Grade 1 winners including Jezki, Martello Tower, Apache Stronghold and Beat That. Orbys Legend is out of a half-sister to nine time winner Morning Royalty and the pedigree overall, although young, is an improving one.
Orbys Legend will be trained by Philip Hobbs who needs no introduction and as you will hear from Philip in the video, the plan is to run him in a bumper this spring before turning him out to grass and looking forward to a novice hurdling campaign in the Autumn.

The Milan syndicate consists of 20 shares at £8,950 per share and I do hope you will strongly consider getting involved. As always, shares are sold on a first come first served basis so please do get in touch as soon as possible.
