Luminate serves it up to the boys in Chantilly to win Prix de Conde (Gr 3)

9th October, 2017

Luminate stepped into the big time on Saturday when she posted a three length victory in the Prix de Conde (Gr 3) at Chantilly, beating a field of five smart colts. She had broken her maiden over a mile at Deauville in August and so this race presented a stiff test on just her second career start, but she came through the challenge with flying colours to remain unbeaten and looks to be a very exciting horse for the future. She may have one more outing this year in the Criterium de Saint-Cloud (Gr 1) over a mile and a quarter, which takes place on Sunday 29th October. Incidentally her half sister by Lope De Vega was sold today at Tattersalls Book 2 for 370,000 Guineas thanks in part to Luminate's timely update!
