New Syndicate with Paul Nicholls

20th November, 2019

Having had so much success with our mares bought by Tom Malone and trained by Paul Nicholls, we were very excited when Tom approached us with what he believes is another high class filly to add to the team.

Her name is Whiskey Lullaby, she is a four year old by Stowaway - same sire as our very own Posh Trish, as well as multiple Grade 1 performers including Outlander, Champagne Fever and The Worlds End. This big scopey filly was bought by Tom from Colin Bowe in Ireland having shown a great deal of promise in her point to point at Toomebridge on the 5th October. She finished second that day in testing conditions and really caught the eye with how well she jumped and travelled. You can watch the video by clicking here, she is in black with a green cap.

She soon made the journey across to Ditcheat and we rushed down to see her. I was immediately taken by her size, scope and athleticism as she was walked and trotted up for us - please click here to watch the film. Physically she is not the finished article which makes her performance last month all the more impressive, and once she develops fully into her large frame she could be some force to be reckoned with!

As well as her impressive physique she also boasts a wonderful pedigree - featuring not just Grade 1 jumpers but form in Grade 1 Championship races, namely half-brother, Petit Robin (167 rated and Queen Mother placed) and out of half-sister, Anibale Fly (174 rated and Gold Cup placed) both in the first dam.

Whilst she has a lot to live up to joining our strong team of Listed winners and Graded placed Nicholls-trained mares, we think she is a hugely exciting prospect and are delighted to have secured her. The Whiskey syndicate consists of 20 shares at a cost of just £6,300 plus VAT, and as always shares are sold on a first come first served basis.

With my very best wishes,

Harry Herbert, Chairman
