Opposition cruises to York win under Adam McNamara

16th June, 2017

Opposition was given a beautifully timed ride by Adam McNamara to win The Apprentice Handicap at York. This four-year-old grey gelding by Dalakhani looked to enjoy top of the ground and travelled strongly in mid division before steadily mounting his challenge with three furlongs to run. He had to be driven out strongly by Adam, but picked up well to win comfortably in the end. His owners in The Melbourne Syndicate have more excitement to come with their other horse Raucous taking his chance in The Wokingham Stakes (Heritage Handicap) at Royal Ascot on Saturday.
