Projection provides a highlight for the Royal Ascot Racing Club’s 50th winner

11th August, 2015

Projection's impressive win at Windsor is all the more significant as it marks half a century of winners for the Royal Ascot Racing Club. Their first runner was back in May 1998 when the Richard Hannon Snr trained Patron Saint was fifth at Newbury under Richard Hughes. In the same year Brancaster, trained by Peter Chapple-Hyam, became the Club's first winner when storming to an eight length victory at Haydock under Robert Havlin. The best horse to pass through the Royal Ascot Racing Club's hands is undoubtedly Motivator who won four of his seven starts including an unforgetable five length victory in The Derby.
