Style de Garde adds another NH win to the list

21st December, 2017

The lastest Highclere National Hunt recruit held up the run of good form yesterday at Newbury, winning his debut in the Highclere silks by a cool eight lengths.  This son of Kapgarde was a French import, and is in the very safe hands the Chamption Trainer, Nicky Henderson.  In the race itself, Style de Garde raced freely into the first hurdle, but Nico de Boinville settled him nicely after this to sit about a length behind the leader, Erick Le Rouge.  His superb jumping meant that he was in the lead by the time the field turned into the home straight, and from there he eased away from his competitiors, crossing the line with plenty in hand.  He looks a very exciting juvenile hurdler for the season and we can;t wait to see where he will go next!
