Thunderous Triumphs In The Dante

10th July, 2020

Thunderous put in a truly gutsy performance in the Al Basti Equiworld Dubai Dante Stakes (Group 2) yesterday to win by a neck. He was expertly ridden by Franny Norton who landed a double at York. This now takes Thunderous' tally up to four wins from 5 races and an 80% strike rate.

Thunderous remained calm and profesional in the preliminaries, before starting out being pushed along by Franny. He secured a good position just behind Aidan O'Brien's Cormorant where he remained coming into the straight. He began to be pushed along at the 3f pole when the favourite, Highest Ground,  started to make his move at around the 2f pole. Highest Ground went a length clear however Thunderous battled on and kept finding plenty. During the final 100 yards Thunderous managed to get on top and win by a neck.

We would like to congratulate all share owners in the the George Stubbs Syndicate on this very special win, and would like to thank Mark Johnston and his team for training him so beautifully.
