Two year olds starting to emerge

25th June, 2019

Showing plenty of potential and speed are our latest pair of two year old runners, Sermon and Byline, both coming a close second of their debuts.

Byline, trained by Kevin Ryan, is from the first crop of the exciting young sire, Muharaar. At Ayr Byline ran extremely green until the penny dropped a furlong from home when he showed a brilliant turn of foot for the L S Lowry syndicate to come just three quarters of a length behind a more experienced Mark Johnston trained horse.

Sermon, owned by the David Hockney syndicate improved rapidly from his debut to come very close to a smart looking David O’Meara horse. Staying true to his sire Dark Angel, he is showing plenty of early speed and has pleased his jockey, Richard Kingscote and Tom Dascombe, who both feel that he is to go one better next time.
