Yearling Parades a Huge Success

24th October, 2019

The annual Highclere Yearling Parades held on Sunday, 20 October and Monday, 21 October were another huge success and the new syndicate horses all showed themselves off very well and wowed the crowds.

First to parade were the Starspangledbanner x Callendula (Richard Hannon) and Showcasing x Dream Dana (Simon Crisford) fillies who form the Nic Fiddian-Green Syndicate.  They are two strong and attractive types who should be active on the racecourse as two-year-olds in 2020.

They were followed by the Mehmas x Mistress Makfi colt (Richard Hannon) who is another very strong and early-looking type.  Mehmas was also trained by Richard Hannon and he was full of praise for this youngster in the Katie O’Sullivan Syndicate.

The Invincible Spirit x Coquette Noire filly (Mark Johnston) is another powerful individual and she looks a particularly tough type for the Julie Cursham Syndicate.

Pamona was a Listed race winner for Highclere Racing and her son by Iffraaj (Andrew Balding) for the Peter Curling Syndicate was one of the first to sell out on the opening day.

The Camelot x Danehill’s Dream colt (Roger Varian) is a beautiful mover and a real Classic middle-distance type who looks a very exciting prospect for the Charles Church Syndicate.

The Charlie Langton Syndicate has a stunning grey colt by Invincible Spirit, a Tattersalls Book 1 graduate who will be heading to Highclere stalwart trainer William Haggas.

The Kingman x Split Decision filly is a real beauty and quite possibly was the star of the show!  She will race for the Susan Crawford Syndicate and will be trained by her sire’s handler, none other than John Gosden.

The Cable Bay x Ancestral Way filly (Ed Walker) is our ladies only Nichola Eddery Syndicate and this daughter of the new sire sensation was another to sell out fast.
