Purchased by Mark Johnston at the Osarus sale in France for only €18,000, with a very decent pedigree, a half-brother to the Listed winner and Group placed Vally Jem.  After close inspection by Harry Herbert on a visit to Yorkshire he was bought without hesitation.

Warranty is by the Derby winner Authorized, the sire of no fewer than five Gr.1 winners.  His pedigree has a real look of stamina to it and we can expect to see the best of him over extended trips at three.

He has been progressing really well at home and made his racecourse debut in a 1m 2f Maiden at Newcastle on 7 October 2019.  He gave the red hot Saeed bin Suroor-trained favourite Live Your Dream plenty to think about until just getting tired in the last furlong, finishing a highly-encouraging second.  The Racing Post commented that he would be “better for race” and there is potentially lots of improvement to come.  He then went to Chelmsford for a very hot Class 2 Conditions Stakes and finished fourth against a couple of Group-class horses trained by Aidan O'Brien and another of Saeed bin Suroor's.  It was a horrible, very wet and windy evening and he was rather colty there, so was gelded and made his three year old debut at Lingfield in March finishing sixth of eight runners.
