Cabaret Queen (GB)

Cabaret Queen would have been a valuable breeding property had she not proved to be a special race-mare. She is from the last crop of Champion jumps’ sire, King’s Theatre. Among his champions have been Cue Card, The New One,  Menorah and L’Ami Serge.

Cabaret Queen has never been out of the frame in seven outings and has won both her steeplechases. There should be rich pickings from the revamped jumping programme for mares and Dan Skelton has Listed chases in mind to raise her value exponentially. What’s more her mares’ allowance will give her a head start in races open to geldings too. She beat them in her chases which were handicaps and saw her rating raised by a stone to 130 - some way below her likely ‘ceiling’.
