Cachet was purchased for 60,000 Guineas at the Tattersalls Craven Breeze Up Sale, with the hope that she will be good enough to run at Royal Ascot and qualify for the sales bonus. She is a gorgeous, athletic daughter of Aclaim, out of a Danroad mare Poyle Sophie. Aclaim is a very exciting addition to the stallion ranks, being a son of Acclamation, with his first 2yos hitting the racecourse in 2021. Poyle Sophie was unlucky not to win a race, being beaten by a head as a 4yo at Kempton.

Cachet is at George Boughey’s Saffron House Stables in Newmarket. George may be a newer face to the training ranks but his strike rate this season so far is phenominal. Having gone through the Breeze Up process Cachet had a good head on her shoulders which aided her on racecourse debut when she burst on to the scene at Newmarket where she stormed to victory in really good style on her debut to win by five and a half lengths.

Cachet ran a credible 5th in the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot which we were delighted with, she then headed to Newmarket for a Listed Fillies contest where she picked up some valueable Black Type by placing third. She will relish the step up to seven furlongs.
