Danse Idol

When Paul Nicholls gave his pre-season ‘Stable Tours’ and interviews for the media, he gave our Danse Idol a big mention. He has very high hopes of our mare and he does not take much prompting about her! Her record and breeding speak for themselves.

Danse Idol was runner up in her Punchestown mares’ bumper to Relegate no less. Relegate went on to take the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham for Willie Mullins in March.

One understands why Paul is so sweet on her then. Danse Idol’s siblings have won thirty eight races on the flat and Paul’s useful winning hurdler Dan McGrew is also by Danse Idol’s ‘coming’ jumps’ sire Dansant. She has been the talk of the National Hunt scene since her hurdles debut victory at Wincanton, where she led some fancied rivals a merry dance and won very comfortably. This progressive mare has since finished second in two Listed contests, the latest at Doncaster, but may not be seen at her best until she takes to fences, something we anticipate with some excitement as she jumps so well. She finished off her season in style with a convincing win at Fontwell.
