Flamenco (GB)

My brother in law, John Warren got himself into a complete state watching this filly walk around the ring before being sold as she fell into that ‘must have’ category! Her sire, Showcasing, has had another fantastic year and, of course, he is the sire of Quiet Reflection winner of the Commonwealth Cup (Gr1) and the Haydock Sprint Cup (Gr1). This daughter of his is out of the Dansili mare, Astrantia, a daughter of Ausherra who won the Oaks trial at Lingfield. Ausherra is a half-sister to Ramruma who was the Champion three-year-old filly in Europe winning the Epsom Oaks, the Irish Oaks and the Yorkshire Oaks.

Flamenco did not run at two and she began her career at Newmarket in a very hot novice race where she was fourth. She has run twice since and shown respectable form. She now has a mark of 69 and should be highly competitive off that.
