Lord Belvedere

Purchased at the Tattersalls Horses In Training Sale for 100,000 guineas in partnership with Ciaron Maher, we felt Mister Blevedere was great buying for an Australian prospect who is yet to reach his peak. Consistent performances throughout 2018 has seen his official rating continue to improve to a mark of 93 today and Timeform rating of 100.

What stood out about this horse was his speed. He won his Novice by a comfortable seven lengths over seven furlongs as a two-year-old before developing into a 93 rated mile and a half winner which shows he has the tactical speed to adapt to Australian conditions, and the stamina to target the relatively weaker staying races Down Under, which offers prizemoney of $120,000 per race on a Saturday. His consistent form shows he is tough, and will stick his neck out on the line each and every time he steps out onto the track, performing on ground ranging from Soft to Good to Firm.

Partnering up once again with the Ciaron Maher and David Eustace team.

Lord Belvedere has been extremely successful since arriving in Australia, so far he has had four wins since arriving last season. Including his recent back to back wins at Flemington over 2540m and 2600m. Jockey Ben Melham said "He's got a bit of class about him."  Ciaron may run him  again this season, before a break in order to come back fresh for a spring campaign.
