A Sea the Stars filly, out of an Elusive Quality mare, Nantucket’s dam is a half-sister to Group 1 Prix de Reservoirs winner Summer Legacy. Sea The Stars is considered to be one of the greatest racehorses of all time. Winner of the 2,000 Guineas, The Derby and the Eclipse Stakes, he was the first colt to accomplish this treble since 1989 Champion Nashwan. He followed this incredible race record with the International Stakes, the Irish Champion Stakes, and the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. Sea the Stars can be described as nothing short of a sensation. His progeny includes multiple Group winner and Gr.1 Prix Ganay winner Cloth of Stars, the great stayer Stradivarius, and the very classy Group 1 winner Sea of Class, who came so close to winning the Arc.

Nantucket made a pleasing debut in the autumn of her 2yo year at Kempton and then did particularly well over the winter months in terms of her physical progression. She was somewhat disappointing on her 3yo debut at Sandown, where she was prominent early on before fading in the closing stages over 1m 2f.  Her work at home soon improved and she put in a very good effort for third place over 1m at Windsor.  Improving her performance again from that run, she went one better on her most recent effort at Leicester on her handicap bow, doing all her best work inside the final furlong and not quite able to reel in the winner.
