A Sea the Stars filly, out of an Elusive Quality mare, knocked down to Jake and John for £125,000 guineas during the Tattersalls Book One sale. Her dam, the unraced Lucy Cavendish, is a half to Group One Prix de Resrvoirs winner Summer Legacy. It is clearly a family that not only can produce the goods on the track, but also as broodmares with Summer Legacy producing two Group One winners in Mandean and Wavering. We've got a lot to be excited about with her sire too. Sea The Stars has to be considered one of the greatest racehorses of all time. Winner of the 2000 Guineas, The Derby and the Eclipse Stakes, he was the first colt to accomplish this treble since 1989 champion Nashwan. He followed this incredible race record with the International Stakes, the Irish Champion Stakes, and the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.

Trainer, John Oxx described Sea the Stars as "...He is the point to which thoroughbred breeding, after 300 years, has arrived..." As a sire, Sea the Stars can be described as nothing short of a sensation. His progeny include  multiple Group winner and Gr.1 Prix Ganay winner Cloth of Stars, two-time Group One winner Stradivarius, and two-time Group One winner Sea of Class. Stradivarius also added £1million bonus to his prize-money when he won the Lonsdale Cup at York at the annual Welcome to York Ebor Festival. The bonus, initally thought to be impossible, was a new initative this year with £1million pounds to any horse that any 'staying horse' that won one of four races in May - including the Yorkshire Cup - followed by the Gold Cup at Royal Ascot, the Goodwood Cup and the Lonsdale Cup.

Our filly is in training with Sir Michael Stoute and made a very nice Autumn debut in early November.
