Opposition (GB)

This son of Dalakhani, who cost 120,000 Guineas at Tattersalls Book 1, stood out at the parades for all the right reasons. Dalakhani, a superb racehorse himself, has proven to be an exceptionally versatile sire with four Classic winners to his name. He has also shown he can cut it with the best of them in Australia where his son, the French Derby winner Reliable Man, impressively won The Queen Elizabeth Stakes (Gr 1) at Randwick. This colt also boasts a very significant female line as he is out of a half sister to the dual Group 1 winner Confidential Lady.

Opposition overcame his significant size to make three racecourse appearances as a two-year-old and went on to win his first two starts in 2016. His four-year-old campaign has been a busy one and fruitful as well, with a win at York and two close seconds to his name.
