Prerogative (IRE)

Now a three-year-old gelding, Prerogative, is a precocious son of Rock Of Gibraltar that was kept busy during his two-year-old campaign. Although he was unable to get his head in front at two, he never ran a bad race and was only out of the first three in two of his nine starts. He is out of the Group 2 placed mare Tedarshana from a family steeped in black type and so John Warren had to stretch to €155,000 to secure him at the Goffs Orby Sale. His half-sister, Honoria, was a Listed winner over a mile and a half and is the dam of the multiple Graded Stakes winner in Maximova, so it will be interesting to see how he fairs when stepped up in distance as the year progresses.
