This imposing son of Motivator is a half-brother to Al Wathna, winner of the Group Two Prix de Malleret. Motivator himself needs little introduction being the sire of the mighty Treve, two time Arc de Triumph winner.

Showroom duly bolted up on his only start aged two, winning by five lengths at Goodwood. For his efforts, he was named a TDN Rising Star - certainly no easy feat! He confirmed his promise when winning on seasonal reappearance at Redcar beating an expensive Godolphin newcomer. Showroom “remains open to improvement” say Timeform. A common, but troublesome injury, has kept Showroom off the track to date but he is now back in full tarining and moving well. he returned to action in 0-90 handicap at Leicester in April and showed that he still has the appetite to compete. Having raced a shade too freely in the early stages, he led for most of the race and looked as if he might pull away for an impressive victory before tiring in the final stages to finish fourth.

Mark Johnston was keen to try Showroom over a mile and a half and entered him in a valuable Handicap at Newcastle on Good Friday. Showroom led for much of the race but was unable to hold his position when challenged two furlongs from home and faded out of contention. He did the same at Chester next time after which he was found to be suffering from an infection which took some time to clear up. He was given time to recover and despite finishing last at Windsor next time showed that he will benefit from stepping up in trip next time.

Following Showrooms latest race, we have decided to take him out of racing and he will be retrained for a different discipline.
