Fred Archer was a legend in his lifetime, and remains so to this day. Intelligent and ambitious, he was a natural horseman who understood tactics too. He was simply the best all-round jockey that the Turf has ever seen. Archer was Champion jockey 13 times and won 2748 races, including 21 Classics.
I am delighted to welcome the great Henry Cecil to our roster of trainers. Henry is quite simply a legend in the training ranks. He has trained the winners of 36 classics, including four Derby’s and this year in Frankel he has another superstar to add to his extraordinary list of great horses.
Alongside Henry is another multiple classic winning trainer, Luca Cumani. Luca has enjoyed a spectacular training career and has won the Epsom Derby twice with Kahyasi and High Rise, alongside tremendous international success with victories in the Hong Kong Cup, Japan Cup and Breeders Cup. This season he saddled the much-travelled Presvis to win the Dubai Duty Free (G1) at Meydan in March.
