Kelly Holmes secured her place in Olympic history in Athens in 2004 when she became the first British female athlete to win gold in both the 800m and 1500m. This was an amazing feat given that she had spent the previous seven years plagued with injuries. She finished her illustrious career with twelve major championship medals from the Olympics, World Championships, Commonwealth Games and European Championships.

This syndicate combines two of the most exciting young talents in the trainer ranks. Hugo Palmer is now a dual-Classic winning trainer with Galileo Gold adding a highly impressive victory in this year’s 2,000 Guineas to Covert Love’s win in The Irish Oaks in 2015 and Charlie Hills’s expert handling of last year’s Champion European Sprinter Muhaarar resulted in four consecutive Group One victories. Hugo’s rise to the top has been remarkable having doubled his number of winners every season since taking out his licence in 2011 and following recent expansions at his Kremlin Cottage Stables, 2016 has been another record breaker with 23% winners to runners. Following the success of last season, Charlie Hills has also been making improvements at Faringdon Place having recently replaced the main gallop with a state of the art all-weather surface.
