Attracted to foreign climes and adventure since a young age, Levison  has travelled and worked in over ninety countries worldwide. As an Officer in the Parachute Regiment, Lev served in Afghanistan in 2008 fighting against Taliban insurgents in Helmand, Kandahar and Zabul.  He is currently a Major in the 77th Brigade, Army Reserve.
Now a best-selling author, explorer and photographer, Lev’s adventures are widely acclaimed. In 2014 he completed a nine month expedition walking the length of the Nile before embarking on the even more ambitious challenge to walk the length of the Himalayas from Afghanistan to Bhutan.
Lev’s more recent expeditions include walking the length of Central America from Mexico to Colombia, a 2600 mile journey from Russia to Iran, and his latest epic challenge – a 5000 mile circumnavigation of the Arabian peninsula from Iraq to Lebanon.

Sir Michael Stoute has trained some of Highclere’s  all-time greats including Harbinger, the highest rated horse in the world in 2010, and seems to be back to  his very best, last season achieving over £3,800,000  in prize money. He continues to demonstrate that there is nobody better in patiently bringing along the type  of middle distance horse to peak at just the right time,  a feat he once again achieved last season with a four year old in Ulysses who won two Group 1 races, the Coral Eclipse and Juddmonte International. Stable visits are always fun and informative with Sir Michael’s penchant for whistling and singing on the gallops accompanied in the summer months by the legendary cricketer Michael Holding.
