Sir William McArthur was a highly successful Irish businessman, Lord Mayor of London and a Liberal Party politician who sat in The House of Commons from 1868 to 1885. He had many interests including racehorse ownership, but the most notable of these was his dedication to social and reforming organisations including several orphanages.
It is a privilege to add Sir Henry Cecil to the Highclere training ranks. A living legend, he has trained the winners of 36 Classics, including four Derby’s and he has handled and guided the extraordianarily talented Frankel who carried all before him in 2011, as well as stable stars Twice Over and Midday.
Alongside Henry is another multiple Classic winning trainer, Luca Cumani. Luca has enjoyed a spectacular training career and has won the Epsom Derby twice, alongside tremendous international successes with victories in the Hong Kong Cup, Japan Cup and Breeders Cup.
