Minoru won King Edward VII his third Derby in 1909. A useful tow year old, he won the 2000 Guineas as well as other good races for the King in the final year of his life but sadly he was well beaten in the St Leger when attempting to give his owner a second Triple Crown. Minoru was sold to Russia as a stallion only two years later, but mysteriously disappeared at the time of the Bolshevik Revolution in 1917. Some think he was evacuated to Turkey, but sadly he disappeared from allr ecords as far as thoroughbred breeding is concerned.
