This filly was bought in partnership with Aquis Farm, who are making a huge impact in Australian racing, having claimed the Group 1 VRC Derby in the Spring with Extra Brut and had fifty winners already this season. This filly will race in the Highclere colours for Ciaron Maher and David Eustace who trained the Aquis Farm owned colt Dubious, who only just missed out in the $2million Magic Millions 2yo Classic on Saturday when finishing second. We’ll be hoping to join the formidable team to go one better next year with this filly!

Zoustar is considered the most exciting sire in Australia after his Spring Carnival feats which saw his progeny claim the trifecta in the Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes with his Champion Filly Sunlight claiming honours ahead of Group 2 winners Zousain and Lean Mean Machine. This all happened in the short space of time after he was crowned Champion First Season Sire in Australia only months earlier. He stood 2018 season $60,500 which is expected to raise to well over $100,000 in 2019.

She is the sixth foal out of the French mare Pleats, who has already produced a stakes horse in Intriguing Lady and was a winner at two-years-old. Arguably, Zoustar is the best stallion to go to Pleats in her broodmare career and she is from a family littered with black type performers. As you will see in the link below, this filly showcased a wonderful physique and is a lovely moving filly with a beautiful temperament which took the eye of Dane and John Warren, who flew in for the Magic Millions Yearling Sale.
