Global adventurer Rosie Swale-Pope is recognised as one of the world’s most courageous, gutsy women of her generation. She is the only person in history, man or woman, to have undertaken an epic solo, unsupported run around our world – over 20,000 miles facing extreme danger, bitter Siberian winters, wolves, axemen and desolate loneliness over nearly five years. Other incredible expeditions made by Rosie include completing 27 Marathons in 27 days, a record breaking solo voyage in the smallest  boat ever sailed transatlantic by a woman, a speed trek to Everest Base Camp with the Nepal Trust, twice completing of the ‘toughest race on earth’ the Marathon des Sables, riding 1,400 miles on horseback from the Atacama Desert to Cape Horn Island and an unsupported 1000 mile run from the most Northern point of Iceland to the Southern point.

Ralph Beckett has a superb record with fillies having twice trained the winner of the Oaks, with Look Here in 2008 and Talent in 2013. He enjoyed his most successful season to date in 2016, recording over 100 winners for the first time in his 18-year career and doing so at a 20% strike rate of winners to runners. His flagship horse in recent years has been Simple Verse who confirmed her class in the QIPCO British Champion Fillies & Mares Stakes (Gr 1) following  her much-debated victory in the St Leger, which was lost in the Steward’s room and subsequently overturned on appeal. His base at Kimpton Down Stables in Hampshire, where he has been training since 2010, has a beautiful expanse of private grass gallops in addition to three all-weather surfaces and we are assured a very warm welcome from the trainer and his wife Izzy.
