Andrew Balding

Andrew Balding joined our training ranks in 2010 and gave us a winner with his first Highclere runner in the shape of Baptist at Newbury. Andrew became the licensed trainer at Kingsclere, Berkshire in January 2003 when he succeeded his father Ian and hails from a family that is steeped in racing history.

He made an immediate impact that year when Casual Look won the Group 1 Vodafone Oaks. Since then he trained the globe-trotting Phoneix Reach to win Group 1 races in Hong Kong, Canada and Dubai. In 2014 he trained a Kingsclere homebred, Elm Park, to victory in The Racing Post Trophy (Gr 1).

Park House Stables ranks as one of the most historic and beautiful in the country and it was on these gallops that the mighty Mill Reef was trained by his father.
