Nigel Twiston-Davies

Nigel Twiston Davies' operation is run from Grange Hill Farm in the Cotswolds. Nigel's two sons Willie and Sam are both jockeys, though Willie retired at the end of 2017. Nigel is the only current British trainer to have saddled two Grand National winners, Earth Summit in 1992 and Bindaree in 2002. He has tasted Gold Cup success with Imperial Commander in 2010, who won the Ryanair Chase the year before and recently achieved his 1,500th winner. Nigel is becoming part of the Cheltenham Festival woodwork having trained 17 winners at his local course, most recently Ballyandy in the 2016 Champion Bumper and, during the same year, Blaklion in the RSA Chase. One highlight from the 2017/18 National Hunt season was undoubtably Splash of Ginge's win in the 2017 BetVictor Gold Cup (Grade 3).

Highclere Thoroughbred Racing are pleased to have Nigel on our roster of trainers.
