Paul Nicholls

After a successful career as NH jockey (winning back-to-back Hennessy Gold Cups in 1986 and 1987), Paul started training in 1991 at Manor Farm Stables, Somerset. It is now one of the most individually successful training establishments in the country and has seen over 1,700 winners pass through its gates in Paul’s care, including four Cheltenham Gold Cup winners and seven King George VI chase winners as well as collecting seven Champion Trainers’ titles. His stables are packed full of stars including dual Gold Cup and 16-time Group 1  winner Kauto Star, triple World Hurdle winner Big Buck’s, Masterminded who has won seven Group 1 chases including back-to-back Queen Mother Champion Chase wins and dual Group 1 winner Zarkandar.
