Viewing Morning for Richard Hannon 2yos

27th January, 2020

There are one or two shares available in the two Highclere Syndicates that have 2yos in training with Richard Hannon and both horses can be viewed at the stables and seen on the gallops on Thursday morning 6 February. Please call our team on 01488 669166 or email to book your place if you are considering taking a share in either syndicate.

Host (Katie O’Sullivan Syndicate) is a powerful colt by the very smart dual Group 2-winning 2yo Mehmas, those victories coming in the July Stakes and Vintage Stakes at Glorious Goodwood. He was purchased at the Goffs UK Premier Yearling Sale at Doncaster where he impressed with his great strength and likely precocity, also as a graduate of this sale he qualifies for the £300,000 Goffs UK Premier Yearling Stakes which is to be run at York in August 2020.

Richard has been delighted with Host and expects him to run early in the season and possibly two or three times even before Royal Ascot!!

Cirrus (Nic Fiddian-Green Syndicate), an early March-foaled filly, was the third top-priced lot sold at the Tattersalls Ascot Yearling Sale and the feeling is that she would have sold for considerably more had she been sent to another sale.  As a graduate of that sale, she also qualifies for the £150,000 Bonus Race to be run at Newmarket on 3 October 2020!  This filly is eligible for the Plus 10 Bonus Scheme.

Her sire Starspangledbanner was exceptionally fast and the best son of Choisir - like his sire he won the Gr.1 Golden Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot as well as the Gr.1 July Cup at Newmarket.  He also has a remarkable record as a sire and Millisle won the Gr.1 Cheveley Park Stakes for him last season.  Cirrus is a gorgeous filly and is clearly already held in some regard by her powerful stable.
