WHERE ARE THEY NOW

HIJACK

Hijack winning at Ludlow (16th April 2020)

Hijack a striking son of Fame and Glory was trained by Nicky Henderson. He was a multiple winner over hurdles in 2019 and 2020 before being rehomed in 2021.

A lovely lady called Emma picked him up initially, sadly last March she contracted terminal cancer and asked Steph to rehome him once more. Hijack is now in a lovely new home with Hannah and despite the tragic circumstances, Emma took some comfort from being able to see him in his new forever home before she passed away.

Hannah reports:

β€˜We bought Hijack on April fools day as a bit of a hope for the best. He came super green for our world and was nervous of anything new but from the start we could tell he was kind and genuine.

Over the last year we have taken things slowly, showing him the ropes, beach rides, coloured poles, xc schooling, building him a top line and plenty of love and treats. Anything asked Hijack (aka Joey) has been willing. He has come so far, recently completing his first show jumping competition. My daughter (13) has taken him on and he is turning his hoof to pony club now, showing potential in all rallies attended, everyone always commenting on how beautiful he is. Joey is turning into a gorgeous all rounder and we feel super lucky that he came to us! He is loved deeply and so much fun to ride! We cannot wait to see what his future holds, I may have had him stolen from under my nose by my daughter πŸ˜… but I actually love watching them progress together, it's beautiful. Our wonderful, goofy but gorgeous Joey (Hijack).’
