2yo Bay Colt (Frankel x Geocentric)

Global is one of our exciting two year olds and he is in training with the remarkable William Haggas.

By Frankel, who is the world renowned sire of too many to name, and out of Geocentric, this colt is one that we are thrilled to have on our team, and we await his racecourse debut with eager anticipation.

His dam was a winner herself a total of three times, including in two Listed contests, and she was also 2nd in a Group 3 at the Curragh. He is her first foal, and deep down in his pedigree, under the 3rd dam, 1000 guineas winner Precise is on the page, amongst an array of other Group winners.

Global was bought at the illustrious Arqana Breeze Up sale in Deauville. He follows in the footsteps of Conclave and Centigrade, who are also graduates from that sale, and we are hoping that he can go on to similar success.

William, as inventive as ever, has planned that Global’s first run should be abroad. Back where our story began, in Deauville. Arqana are hosting a range of races for horses that have been through their sales ring, and Global is aiming to compete in the “Arqana Series des poulains,” a seven furlong race for two year old unraced colts. With prizemoney totalling €160,000, and a portion of that returning to the vendors, all the way back to 5th place, we see this as a great opportunity to try out an unconvential route.

Who knows, there has been so much talk recently in National Hunt circles, about how the French horses come over and are months, sometimes years ahead the later broken in English horses, so why not try and reverse the form!

The race will be on the 13th of August, and we are expecting a great turn out from our ownership group, and a private plane has been chartered for the journey across the channel.

Having international runners is a highlight for many of our members, and to have one so exciting and enigmatic as this, is what this game is all about!
