WHERE ARE THEY NOW
BELIEVING
by Harry Herbert
Believing being sold at Tattersalls for 3,000,000gns!
It was a great thrill for those who went on the Coolmore trip recently to see Believing who was paraded looking magnificent in foal to Frankel.
What a wonderful filly she was over her splendid career with Highclere. She ran in both the Group 1 sprints at Royal Ascot in 2024 finishing fourth in each race. First up was the King Charles III over 5f which was won by Asfoora, the Australian star sprinter. Only beaten two lengths by the winner she came out of the race so well that her trainer, George Boughey, let her take her chance in the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes on the last day of the Royal Meeting where she ran another fabulous race, beaten just over two lengths by Khaadem trained by Charlie Hills.
Believing in foal to Frankel
We sold her at the end of her four year old year at the Tattersalls December Sale for 3,000,000gns to the Coolmore team and as a five year old she rewarded them with a win in the Al Quoz Sprint (Gr 1) in Dubai. She was retired after Royal Ascot of that year. So a very special moment to see her in her happy Coolmore retirement home!
